چکیده

The emergence of more effective methods for treatment pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) has called reliable diagnostics, monitoring, and evaluating responses to the treatment. More reports have become available about relevance using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination patients with PAH. This review provides data on significance MRI noninvasive evaluation heart structure function in PAH, as well visualization remodeling circulation. According presented this review, results obtained various, modern technologies can be used monitoring effect risk stratification

Diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension and pulmonary embolism with magnetic resonance angiography.

BACKGROUND Pulmonary magnetic resonance angiography (PMRA) has been proven to be accurate for the diagnosis of suspected acute or chronic pulmonary embolism (PE). Only limited data exist on the reliability of PMRA for the diagnosis of acute and chronic pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH). The aim of this study was to determine the accuracy of PMRA in the differentiation between patients sufferi...

Magnetic resonance and computed tomography imaging of the structural and functional changes of pulmonary arterial hypertension.

The current Dana Point Classification system (2009) distinguishes elevation of pulmonary arterial pressure into pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and pulmonary hypertension. Fortunately, PAH is not a common disease. However, with the aging of the First World's population, heart failure has become an important outcome of pulmonary hypertension, with up to 9% of the population involved. PAH i...

[Cardiovascular magnetic resonance: its role in the diagnosis and evaluation of pulmonary arterial hypertension].

Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is defined as a group of diseases characterized by a progressive increase in pulmonary vascular resistance caused by vasoconstriction, thrombosis, and structural remodelling of pulmonary arterioles, with occlusion of the lumen of some vessels. If untreated, pressure overload of the right ventricle (RV) leads to progressive RV dilatation and hypertrophy and ...

Delayed contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in pulmonary arterial hypertension.

Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) causes pressure overload on the right ventricle and when untreated leads to progressive right ventricular dysfunction. Delayed contrast MRI can identify areas of myocardial infarction and myocardial fibrosis related to various cardiomyopathies. Delayed contrast magnetic resonance images in the short axis plane in 3 patients with PAH (Figure, A, idiopathic; ...

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging in pulmonary arterial hypertension.

Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) provides accurate information about right ventricular (RV) mass, RV volumes and other markers of RV function. CMRI is proving to be a particularly useful tool in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), as measures of RV function have been shown to be prognostic of long-term outcomes in this disease. Changes in RV function can also provide important infor...
